With Unifi, you will be entitle with free 2Gb Unifi email. Your password will be given on a piece of paper (Registration Confirmation) together with all other services details and password such as HyppTV Residential, Residential Voice and Streamyx Zone Account. What You Should Know
The most important thing that you should know to install webmail are :
i. Your email and password of course: (for example, email@example.com)
ii. Mail server settings :
Incoming mail server (POP3): pop.unifi.my
Outgoing mail server (SMTP): smtp.unifi.my
Outgoing Mail Server require authentication similar to Incoming Mail Server
Lets Configure Unifi email with Thunderbird
So if you have all this information, it will be easy to setup your Unifi mail.
1. In Mozilla Thunderbird, from the Edit menu select Account Settings.
2. Select Email action, and then click Mail Account.
3. Enter your name and e-mail address and click Next to continue.
- Thunderbird mail will search automatically the server setting. But I would suggest you set it to manual configuration.
Click POP3 at Select the type of incoming server you are using. Your incoming server is pop.unifi.my .
At SMTP for outgoing User Name. Your outgoing server is smtp.unifi.my
Set your port 110 for incoming, and port 25 for outgoing.
Set SSL to none and authentication to normal password
Enter your username with @unifi.my ( for example : firstname.lastname@example.org) and click Create Account
- If all the setting that you key in is correct, then you are ready to send your first Unifi’s mail.
