This entry is to create awareness among us that these fraudsters will become more creative to get your bank account number, PIN and password. Last time they use Petronas and Akademi fantasia as a bait. This time they use Bank Negara as their latest trick.

The latest modus operandi of the scam is as below:

1. Victim will receive a telephone call from a ‘bank’ to confirm a credit card transaction for the purchase of goods made oversea to be charged on the victim’s credit card. If you don’t have that particular bank’s credit card, they will convince you to believe that someone use your identity to apply for card credit. This will be depending on how much info they have about you.

2. Then the fraudster will advice victim to call Bank Negara Malaysia’s “Unit Kad Kredit Palsu”.  The fraudster will provide the phone number off course!. The fraudster accomplice aka Bank Negara “officer” will entertain victim. At this stage, the Bank Negara “officer” will request for bank account details, PIN number and other information in order to illegally transfer out form the victim’s account. There are victim who even tranfer all their money to third party  account for “safe keeping”. yeah rite!

Rezeki comes from Allah SWT

Last month, I helped a former officemate to supply and install Microsoft Office 2010 to government agency. Basically I helped him with e-perolehan process and provide documents for Delivery order and Invoice since he use our company letterhead and MOF license. The project went well. He supplied and installed successfully.

Takde Rezeki

Payment made thru our company account and my boss need to write cheque for him. Then I was the one who bank in to his account. The BIG question here ? Should I get some commision ? I did not expect to get some cash. (Ok I lied, come on at least some gratitude for my petrol and hardwork )

He did asked for my bank account BEFORE I deposit the money to him. After that, he said that my boss will give commission to me. Come on, if my boss that generous I wouldn’t bother to write this entry ok. Anyway I just said to myself that “takde rezeki”. I know that you cannot have big margin for IT products. That is what I was being told.

Anyway, please don’t cry this is not a sad story. hehe. Allah SWT is very fair to all. Remember ” Rezeki” does not come from your boss, Government Officer, your ex officemate or others. It comes from Allah SWT. So yesterday, I accept an offer to put links on my sidebar. Just because my blog is PR4 out of nowhere.

So bottom line here , work hard , be grateful and always pray to Allah SWT for “rezeki” . I leave you with  Maher Zain “InsyaALLAH”. Enjoy the lyrics and song.

Trusting your online friend?

An example of street markets accepting credit ...

Just a few days ago, my friend in India asked me to help him to purchase a software to encrypt his PHP code.

He told me that his credit card is not valid to purchase the software. He said there is rumors that some merchant don’t accept credit card from India. He offers to pay me using PayPal.

So I just followed his instruction on how to purchase the software.  On the last page for payment option, I saw PayPal button. I thought he might want to scam me. So I explained my findings. To his surprise , he said that he cannot find any PayPal option on the website.

Instead he gave me his PayPal user id and password. At first i was quite reluctant since he had to give his PayPal details to me. He replied that he only have a few buck, so it will be no problem. So in the end, I just use his PayPal to pay the software.

I am not sure why there is no PayPal option on his side. Maybe its true may be not. Either way you should be careful and double check. Actually I was willing to pay since the amount is only USD 20 plus I barely know him. He is just my online friend.

So will you pay for your online friend ? 🙂

My 3rd Nuffnang Cheque

Yes, did you hear the ka CHING in my bank hehe. I received my third  Nuffnang cheque. Not much but is a prove that Nuffnang do pays.

Nuffnang-Cheque

Some people complain that Nuffnang duration payment is more than 30 days. They should understand that on the Nuffnang cash out term clearly said that the payment will be processed at the end of the cash out month and will take 30 days.  So if you cash out on 2nd June, the payment will only be processed on 30th June and you will get the cheque after July. Here a tip,  just cash out at the end of the month and don’t worry the cheque will arrive in your mail box.

To be honest mostly earning come from my wife blog Aleeya01 where she like to put my daughter and family picture on the blog. Attract local and unique traffic even makcik and pakcik read her blog :).

Just keep update your blog and Nuffnang will award with more campaign and earnings. Good Luck!
