Busy with new Gadgets : Nokia N95 and Dell Inspiron

Hi Guys,

Last month I just bought two new gadgets , a Dell laptop and Nokia N95. So I am quite busy updating my knowledge and exploring new cool hand phone application and laptop technology. I have not been interested to know more about symbian software for the last 2 years since i only use a phone for call and sms. So I am bit outdated about latest update on Nokia phone.

As for the laptop, it is actually bought by my company for our new project. So I have to customise, setting according to my preference and download my favourite software. Not forgetting updating window Vista and my Anti Virus software. So all this make I spend a lot of time playing with my hand phone and laptop.

Nokia N95

With 3.5 G (HDSPA) Internet Speed, able to connect to Wifi, GPS enable and 5 Megapixel picture, N95 has complete my gadget dream. So now I can log in to internet, facebook, read blog whenever I have free wireless connection. Nowdays, even mamak stall provide free internet connection and I have experienced  logging to free internet at KFC, Carre Four  and Jusco plus Bangi kopitiam.

I don’t have to bring my laptop to use free WiFi, just use my Nokia N95 to search for free WiFi . After define my access point, I can browse internet with one hand. So easy to use and fast loading.

Most of the time I will explore mobile9.com and mosh.com to install new application and theme. Now I have mobile version of Yahoo, Youtube, Facebook and Gmail. Anybody want to suggest any great application, please give your suggestion.

GPS enable plus Google Map are the best application I ever tried, you can even search for location and Google Map will show you how to get there.  So I will not lost again.

Dell Inspiron 1420

Bought at  Sunway Pyramid, white colour , with 4 GB RAM, 250 G HD and processor Dual Core 2GHz T6400. My window experience index is 3.5 slightly better than my Acer laptop.Plus pre installed Vista Home Basic, original ok. Say NO to Pirate!.

On top of that I get 2 GB Kingston Thumb drive and headphone, cost me around RM 2600. The first thing I do when I switch on the laptop was change the Vista  theme to classic windows and remove all side bar application. After that, I download ccleaner to remove unnecessary start-up.

I also use the Bluetooth connection to connect with my Nokia N95, sync files and update Nokia software. I guess with this new gadgets I can update my blog regularly and make more money online hehe.

I just won 25 000 Entrecard Credits

Finally, after entering so many Online Contest, this time I won the Grand Prize hehe.

My Bazilion contest entry was so lucky to be chosen by random.org, so I would like to thanks my fellow Malaysian blogger Deimos from Ahkong.net for the huge prize.

But I still wish than 25 K is in USD hehe.

Lesson learn here, never give up on entering online contest, you might win something BIG ! one day. Trust me.

How to get ATTention in a Blogger’s Gathering

Hi guys,

During my first blogger gathering, I was a bit shy and prefer to speak only with my wife.Which is not the best thing to do. Since it was my first, so I did some observation and note down things that I should do next time to make more friends and increase traffic to my blog.

1. Take picture with famous blogger,say hi,exchange ideas

- Well you should know the most popular blogger, as for me I would love to take picture with Kak Red from RedMummy.com, Lilian from 5xmom.com or even VP from viruspaducom

- OK there must be popular male blogger like KennySia, LiewCF.com that you shouldn’t miss if they were there. Be polite and asked for picture won’t cost a thing rite. In fact this is the best way to get notice fast online.

2. Distribute your blogger card

- If you don’t have it , jut drop by to a printing shop and create one box of your official blogger card, it wil cost you less than RM 30.

- People will easily visit your blog with the correct url as stated in your card rite, so no more typo error in finding your blog url.

- Same like a business card, it will show how professional even you are just amatuer. Your new friend will sure be impressed.

3. Wear your special shirt that display your URL of your blog.

- Seriously, I found this tip is practical, since I noticed a few blogger wear black T-shirt  with their blog URL at the back.

- If you can out your logo than that would add more cream to the ice cream . At least your regular visitor will notice you on the spot. As online picture with real one is not usually the same. As for me, I will look more “leng chai” if face to face than my online picture hehe

4. Be friendly with everybody shake hand and smile always

- This is a straight forward tip, since be nice to everybody will attract more blogger to get to know you.

- My first mistake was unable to start a conversation, that is my main weakness. I usually think 100 times about topics to talk about,untill  some people think that I’m an introvert. Well I can talk about a lot of things just don’t know where to start and can be funny sometime.

5. Participate in a talk,answer question fast and always raise up your hand.

- Seiously, I did’nt know that you will get goodies/gadget when you answer simple question in a talk session. Well, I know that you do get goodies but not all questions, so I ‘m a bit shocked.

- Next time, I will prepare myself with some info and do some research about the event and the sponsor off course. I will always raise my hand and get the chances to introduce myslef to everybody and win some goodies.

Bonus

- Win a competition in that particular gathering, that would add a strawberry in your ice cream of exposure . I did win a consolation prize in that gathering, and I bought a lot of books from MPH Alamanda Putrajaya.

- In short, just enjoy your gathering, chat with others and smile
