I would like to thanks TM Net for awarding my rebate, not much but at least it can cover monthly bill for my Streamyx Broadband.Finally, its over.

Good news :), finally my problem with Blinking Streamyx is completely solve. My rebate application is approved, and within a month from 23rd December 2007 Hopefully I will get my money back.

The Blinking Streamyx -Part II

Just now, I went to TM Point, Shah Alam to submit
my rebate claim. TMnet charged me for activation RM 167.00 and two month payment Nov and December : RM 154
So, first to be fair I just pay the full amount RM 321.00 . I tod him that I want to claim my rebate, I was quite surprise when he told me that TMnet did not grant me any rebate. I have to tell him the whole story again, how stupid the contractor, how slow the response and you don’t want to give me any rebate. I mentioned to him clearly that I only manage to use my Streamyx after 30 days and already paid the bill. It is not that much to be fussy about, I feel that justice need to be done here.
He didn’t believe at first , when I told him that there is nothing wrong with my modem and Telekom Box is the main problem why I received blinking signal. So he said that he will produce another report about this bill dispute.
I don’t know how long it will takes to the TM net to rectify this report.Maybe another 30 days…Just wait and see

- use the web manager and log in to 192.168.1.1
- select dynamic ip and put your streamyx log in id
- securing your wireless home network
- select wireless menu setup
- change SSID
- apply security by selecting WPA-PSK/WPA2-PSK
- ENTER a PSK passphrase wth a combination of number and letter
- click save
- WALA your connection is ON

The Blinking Streamyx !

It’s not the bit rate but the service. Seriously, when you have to wait for nearly 3 weeks just to get a stable connection.That was really unacceptable. My application for streamyx dated on 3rd October and only have a stable connection on 30th October. The story began when i apply for merdeka bash package but I could not connect to my tmnet streamyx and my modem is still blinking.
I try to contact TM net (100) and they told me to wait and will fix the problem at their exchange.Fine with me, after two days and my modem is still blinking.I called again, they asked me to wait for another two days. Ok fine, but after two days my modem still blinking, I finally lost my patience. My wife keep nagging me since she has nothing to do after getting mc for 7 days. (she is 9 months pregnant)
I was very disappointed with tmnet service center.For me they are unprofessional and inefficient.I have to call so many times just to get my simple problem to be fixed. Actually I have try connected my modem at my office and there were no problem.
On 30h October, finally tmnet center decided to send their technician after could not find anything wrong with my streamyx connection.Again, new problem arise. The technician did not show up. I try to call and sms but failed.Then I called tmnet center and they told me that maybe their technician was already at the site and did not want to be disturbed. Bullshitt. Suddenly another technician called me and asked me that his friend will not come, and he will replace him instead. After two hours waiting, you tell me that he is not coming. Can you imagine? What happen with the appointment that I made with the first person through tmnet ? What is the procedure here ?
I told my wife to wait for the person since I have to go to the office and fed up.Before went of, I told my wife to connect the broadband after the modem has a stable signal.
The technician check my modem and laptop but failed to find anything wrong. Then he went to TM cabinet at my area and fix the line.After that, my modem get a stable connection and no blinking . He got back and try to connect with my modem, but failed. He try to connect with his modem, and the connection was ok. After trying a few time with my modem and failed. he concluded that my modem was faulty.He called me and asked me to replace my modem with my agent.But as I said before, I have tested my modem at my office and there was no problem.
Then after he left, my wife that has been waiting and watching, just click the broadband icon and WALLA ! the connection is ON….simple as that..:))
and until now she always tell me that she was the one who fix our streamyx heheh. Well guys, I think I have to agree on that
