Real Madrid sporting director Predrag Mijatovic
says the club’s main transfer objective is Fabio
Cannavaro.

Numerous players have been linked with the
Berbabeu since Ramon Calderon was elected as the
club’s new president last week.

Real are also tracking Juventus pair Gianluca
Zambrotta and Emerson, while Cristiano Ronaldo,
Arjen Robben and Franck Ribery have been other
names mentioned.

But it appears the inspirational 32-year-old
Cannavaro is top of the list, with Mijatovic
telling AS: “Age is secondary in modern soccer.
During the last two years he has been instrumental
in Juve winning two Scudettos and in Italy winning
the World Cup.

“We are going to do everything possible to bring
him to Real.”

Real may sign as many as seven players as they bid
to avoid a fourth straight season without a trophy.

they will be remembered
